1. HOLY BIBLE
We believe that the scripture, including the Old and New Testament, is the inspired word of God. It is infallible in teaching and contains all things necessary to salvation. It contains the complete will of God to man. The King James Version is the Bible for the English speaking people.
II Timothy 3:16-17
2. GODThe supreme deity of the universe is God. He is the almighty creator and sustainer of the heaven, earth, and all things therein. God is a spirit, but can manifest himself in any form. He is omniscient (all knowing), and omnipresent (all seeing/existing).
Jesus of Nazareth is the perfect, sinless, only begotten Son of God brought forth by the virgin Mary. He is the Christ, Messiah, Saviour, and Redeemer. He is the fullness of deity revealed and manifested in the flesh. Jesus is the name of the almighty in this dispensation.
4. THE BLOOD OF CHRIST
The condition of man after the fall of Adam is such that he cannot turn and prepare himself for eternal life by his own natural strength and works. The blood of Christ was shed on the cross to redeem man from sin.
5. NEW BIRTH
To secure the benefits of the plan of salvation each individual must believe in the blood atonement, repent and turn from sin, and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour. One must be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ by immersion in water, and receive the Holy Ghost.
He is the comforter, who will abide in our hearts. He will guide us into all truth and give us power. Speaking in other tongues as the spirit of God gives utterance is the initial evidence of the presence of the Holy Ghost, however, the Holy Ghost must also be manifested in the fruit of the spirit and in the keeping of God’s commandments .
Jesus was crucified on the day of the week commonly called Wednesday, was in the tomb three days and three nights, and rose in the end of the Sabbath. In this manner were his signs fulfilled.
We keep the Ten Commandments. Including the seventh day Sabbath from Friday sundown until Saturday sundown.
9. DIETARY LAWS
We are to use for food those things given by God for that purpose. They are clearly distinguished by Him in scripture.
10. TITHES AND OFFERINGS
God’s plan for financial support of His work is the giving of tithes and offerings by the members of the church. The tithe is one-tenth of our increase and the Christian is obligated to the Lord for it. An offering is free will giving in gratitude to the Lord.We believe in the resurrection of both righteous and unrighteous. One to everlasting life, and the other to everlasting damnation.
Righteous: Unrighteous:
Isaiah 26:19 Matthew 5:22; 13:41-42
Luke 12:37 John 14:1-4
Philippians 3:20-21 Luke 16:22-24
Colossians 3:4 Revelation 20:11-15
I Peter 5:4 Mark 9:43-48
13. THE SECOND COMINGWe believe that Jesus is coming again in the body as he went away.
14. SPIRITUAL GIFTS
We believe that the gifts of the spirit should be manifested in the church today, and that Christians should covet the best gifts for the edification of the church.
The Bible teaches both individual and collective prayer for the healing of the sick.
The scriptures condemn the things that are motivated by the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. We should separate ourselves from the world and come out from among them. There are certain practices that we believe are worldly and should not be participated in; worldly movies, dances, or other public recreation areas in which wicked people, drink, gamble, or use profane language. Unless the Lord has called you to work for him in those areas, they should be avoided so that we don’t become a stumbling block to others.
We do not believe that a Christian should participate in any holiday that has a pagan origin. The primary ones are Christmas, Valentines, Mardi-Gras, Easter, and Halloween. While most of these holidays are marketed as “Christian”, they all have a decidedly UN-Christ like tone. They all pre-date the birth of Christ; and are related to demonic spirits, false gods, and hedonistic sexual practices.
18. WEARING APPAREL
Men and women should always dress in modest apparel. Unfortunately, many people today define modest in a very broad way. Because of this, the pastor and church council reserves the right to set the standard for all that are members of this church
a. No one should expose his or her chest area
b. All sleeves should be at least to the elbow
c. All skirts should fall below the knee when the person is sitting.
d. Women should not wear clothes pertaining to a man, and men should not cross dress.e. No one should attempt to change the appearance God gave them through make-up, or wear excessive jewelry (i.e. gaudy or prideful).
f. Men should not have long hair, and women should not cut theirs.
