Meet the Pastor

Elder Gilmore was born on August 30, 1966 in Pensacola, Fla. He was reared in the South Al/Northwest Fla. area. Elder Gilmore was reared Baptist and attended Pensacola Christian Academy; graduating in 1984.
After being called to preach at the age of 16, he ran from God. After serving in the army, he was married to Lisa Wren in 1988. In 1992, God graciously called him to salvation and the ministry, again. When Elder Jones became ill, Elder Gilmore (working as a home health nurse) came out to take care of him. While spending time with Elder Jones and speaking with Sis. Jones, Elder Gilmore became convinced of the Apostolic way and converted.
In 1993 he was ordained a minister of the gospel and served under the Jones’s. In 1997 after Elder Jones suffered a debilitating stroke, he was ordained Elder and was appointed in Elder Jones place upon his death in 1998. On March 6, 2004 Elder Gilmore was installed as the third pastor of Mt. Zion Apostolic Church
